Our Processes
We are a foundry dedicated to quality and service. We pour both ductile and gray iron castings in all grades and classes to ASTM specifications. Castings range from ounces to 1,000 pounds.
Some of our customers include manufacturers of industrial pumps, machine tools, plastic making equipment, printing and paper making machinery, turbines, glass making equipment, compressors and gear suppliers and many more. Manufacturing Capabilities |
Patterns
Our in-house pattern shop can produce patterns from wood and epoxy to exact customer specifications. We also can alter and refurbish existing pattern equipment supplied to us by our customers. Melting
Daily melting capacity of 8 tons per shift provided by 3 - 3000lb coreless induction furnaces powered by a state of the art Inductotherm 600kW variable frequency power supplies purchased in 2019. We also maintain a fully operational back-up Ajax coreless induction furnaces with two 675KW, 180 cycle multiductors. |
Core
Core facilities include oil sand, CO2, no-bake and shell core processes. Finishing
The cleaning of castings is done on Wheelabrator tumblast and swing table equipment, while the grinding and finishing use plasma cutters and various standard foundry equipment. |
Molding
Molding facilities include squeezer, Rotalift, side floor and crane floor molding stations. Molds are made using both green and no-bake sands. Heat Treating
The annealing or stress relieving of castings is done in our two in-house furnaces. They are both equipped with automatic controls which are calibrated quarterly. We also use outside partners in order to cover a broader range of heat treating services. |
